Snorkeling and Scuba Diving

Take Seabird's Whaler for a 20 minute trip out to Sombrero Reef for snorkeling or scuba diving and explore the brilliant marine life! Snorkeling requires only a mask, snorkel and fins which are provided by Seabird. Sombrero's underwater universe is home to more than 50 varieties of coral and an array of multicolored fish. Living coral reefs create a habitat of unsurpassed beauty and countless species of sea life. Brilliant colors and diverse marine life make this reef a most popular dive site, along with an eight foot high natural coral bridge known as "The Arch".

You may also want to visit the Looe Key National Marine Sanctuary which adds time to your boat ride, but offers 5.3 square nautical miles of coral reef. Protected since 1981, Looe Key is acclaimed as one of the most spectacular coral reefs in the Florida Keys.

**Scuba diving requires certification. Seabird does not provide tanks or scuba equipment, but we do have masks, fins and snorkels in assorted sizes. Life vests are also available in both adult and children's sizes.
