Hi, this is the first
of many reports from "Camp
Guiding Light" on location at Seabird Key, off the coast of Marathon in the Florida
Keys. We'll be spending five days here taping Reva's High Sea Adventure.
Seabird Key is a beautiful privately
owned island, covering approximately 8 acres. It is a short boat ride off of Marathon,
located just north of the Seven-Mile Bridge, a Keys landmark. We found out about Seabird
Key from the Film Commission of Key West and fell in love
when we saw pictures of the tropical
landscaping, and private beach. After our location survey in January we decided this would
be the perfect place for Reva's adventure.
There's only one house on this
tropical sanctuary, with the rest of the island consisting of mangroves, and other exotic
plants, lining the sandy paths.
Aside from our group of 40, led by
Executive Producer Paul Rauch and Director Jo Anne Sedwick, the islands only other
inhabitants will be pelicans, herons, osprey and a few spiders.
As all you loyal viewers know, Reva
has been presumed dead (again!) after going down in a plane sabotaged by Annie. Our time
spent on location will bring to you Reva's struggle for survival after this latest ordeal.
We'll be speaking to you again soon
from our island paradise.
